in cups of coffee.

hello net,

i've no idea why i'm posting here. although we did go out eventually for lunch, it wasn't the slightest bit fun, seeing that we were gatecrashed by LATE boys and that not all six of us were there. i really miss you bunch, and our coints of potention days. i see all of us around the school all the time, especially wei and nic in class, but i guess nothing beats training, dinnering, gossiping, bitching together. i miss you guys, the yoga room (and all the weird stuff we did there), camwhoring and rent singing.

End of the road?

Now's sabbaticals and it all seems too good to be true.

Suddenly we're liberated from heaps of homework, project deadlines, and the best part is, no more gruelling lessons! Which actually reminds me, that somewhere in the back of my head, I have AMES and BSP questions left undone:(

I was supposed to go out today, but I decided in the end to stay home to watch the Arena. And congrats once again to our dearestdearest seah eewei for best speaker!:D It seems really sad now that the arena is just about coming to a closure after week after week after week of competition.

When it ends, I know I'll feel uneasy. But the least we can do is to make this finale a beautiful one:D

Table for nine?

The pictures have said it all, plus the uber-cool triple effects of seaheewei's camera, there you have it-US! With triple the fun.Yesterday's dinner with Mdm O, Mish, and Mr Kaw and the sensational six was truly awesome:D ( with thanks to mr kaw)
Too bad Mark couldn't come, but oh well, it was great fun with Eewei and Jess camwhoring and Coco and I seizing the opportunity to wolf down the coveted apple pie, and what with Hsien feeling isolated and everything and with Nat joining her. Of course, the night couldn't have become better with the occasional prank or two, with the switching of bags, hiding of eewei's hp and camera case(which she never found out until i confessed btw). And then there was the regular gossip about our favourite person, and hsien and wei's many boy subjects along the way, of course.
We finished the food amazingly fast. Too bad the pictures are not here to document this(blame blogger), but go to eewei's blog for the rest of the pictures anyway.Dinner ended suprisingly fast, after brilliant servings of dessert and though we got chased out at 8 plus 9, we spent the rest of the time sitting outside, under the tree, snapping away and chatting.
I think dinner should become a routine for NYDC. Treats, anyone?

525 600 minutes. Do the Math.

Math seems to haunt us.

The word and topic seems to spring up in all our little conversations-be it the regular gossip sessions, the regular complains about the oh so painful subject, and even during the RI spar.

Yes, I know its uncanny how math has somehow found her (I believe she is inherently female) way into a debate and eventually even turned into a focal point. Seriously.

But beyond those facts and figures, I have come to realise that , as I've stated in my previous post, that my life literally revolves around these same numbers that I've grown to detest.

We broke into quarters, then the semi's , and we've come such a long way because of 6wacky members of NYDC (including myself), 2 fab teachers, 2 awesome coaches, 2 wonderful seniors, and of course, the undying support of NYDC and the school.

And this Friday is the semi's.

I still can't believe we've come so far, to the extent that I thought our journey was going to end somewhere, somehow, someplace-as I told eehsien. And now that we've made it, we're just one step, or a few steps closer to achieving that perfect solution.

And I end off with a linear inequality:

Net>Hsien>Coco>Wei>Nat>Jess, with me being greatest:D

How do you measure a year in a life

WE BROKE.

And this measured in cups of coffee, late-night prepping till nine , journeys to the clock-tower, pasta for dinner, 2brilliant coaches, 2wackiest teachers, 2loveliest seniors, 6crazy members of NYDC.
Do the math.

Watch out all of you in the quarter-finals, NYDC's coming your way.

The Power Of Five

I haven't been posting in quite a while.

And because of repeated urges from a multitude of people, and my resolution to keep this blog active and running, I have finally decided to post!
These days I have literally been eating, sleeping ,and breathing debates. And of course, the package comes along with the entire block test trauma. I swear the juggling of the two has taken a toll on me in some way possible, potentially on the block test results. And of course, my life has been revolving around the five finest and most remarkable (haha) five people. I know I constantly say you suck but I'm sure you know deep down that I say it out of pure pleasure. And as promised, I shall do an official thank you list for the five of you-for making debate so much more bearable, and for always being there for me.

Jess: Thanks for always being the happy-go-lucky kid, or as you put it, that great bright spark in my life. I remember the first time I met you in Sec 2 , when you first joined debates, I thought you were weird. But again, you still are weird; in a nice way of course:D And since then you've emerged as that great debator, even though we know you joined a year later than all of us. And thanks for the legendary fun moments we shared, the sad and happy chats we had together moaning about life, and basically being that oh-so-wonderful teammate and Arena partner.

Eewei: Hey eewei, I've known you for the longest time ever amongst you five. And yes, I still remember our funny chats and the weirdest resolutions we made at that sacred place, and you've always been that quiet and intelligent silent killer in debates and yet, a fun person to be with and confide in(even though i have no secrets to share). And continue being who you are, that wonderful individual who wants to take on ashwjfhgl things in her life and having that vibrant and brilliant social life:D.

Hsien: Eehsien, I remember being closest to you at one point of time in my life. And I remember those meaningful chats we had together, the French lessons where we were constantly irritated by that very special someone, and being that awesome teammate. You were very aggressive (and still are) when I first met you at the auditions and look how far you've come, with debates and all. Thanks for all the wonderful memories in these two years and continue being yourself, that all-swearing and cursing , killer-debator eehsien we know.

Coco-lette: Hey Coco, thanks for being an awesome teammate and that great-big-wonderful friend. I have fond memories of our M-cube and N-cube groupies, in which both of us belong to both:D. Thank you for taking so much effort in getting me Ratty Junior and the balloons-cupcakes-flowers for my birthday, as well as always being the most resourceful , efficient and oh-so-brilliant debator. You'll be our loved Nazi, always:D

Natho: Hello Natho! Let me tell you that you're the happiest and funniest and craziest member of them five. And I really hope you stay that way; being the wacky one, being that awesome debator with mind-blowing style. You fellow N-cuber will be the one I talk to to feel happy and I hope that you, wennie and I will have the chance to be greatest friends for the longest time ever:D

In all, thank you for leaving me such wonderful birthday memories-the midnight conference calls, the JG moments, and the much-coveted Ratty Junior.
